For me, photography is a way of looking.
About Juanjo Vega, Wedding Photographer
Wedding photographer based in Barcelona since 2010, trained in advertising photography and art direction, photographing weddings in Barcelona, Sitges, the Costa Brava and international destinations.

Between vineyards, forests and the sea
I live in a small village near Barcelona between vineyards, forests and the Mediterranean Sea. It’s the kind of place where time seems to move in a different way, and I think that comes through in every photograph I take.
My name is Juanjo Vega. I photograph weddings in Barcelona, Sitges, the Costa Brava and different international destinations. For me, photography has always been, above all, a way of looking.

The best stories are discovered
A wedding is, first and foremost, a story. And the best stories are not directed, they are discovered.
I work close and quietly, attentive to the moments that say something true about you. A glance during the ceremony. The laughter that no one expected. The light falling on the details of a table. All of that is part of the story. And in the portraits, you still look like yourselves.
My approach is honest, natural storytelling with a refined editorial aesthetic: natural, elegant and timeless images, meant to remain beautiful long after trends have passed.
Advertising photography and art direction
Photography has always been part of my life, long before I dedicated myself to it professionally. I trained in Advertising Photography and Art Direction, and since 2010 I have photographed more than 400 weddings in Barcelona, Sitges, the Costa Brava, Mallorca and destinations such as the Netherlands, Switzerland, Paris and New York.
I also photograph for brands like Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Nike, Hilfiger, Condé Nast and Vogue, work that keeps my eye sharp for light, detail and composition. My weddings have been published in The Lane, Bride Lifestyle and Hola Novias.

He had a wonderful way of making my husband and I feel completely comfortable in front of the lens. Instead of feeling stiffly posed, he allowed us to just be ourselves.Kristina · Canada
The small, everyday moments
When I’m not photographing I get lost in a good novel, a last-minute trip, a film that obsesses me for how it is shot, and the quiet life of that village among vineyards and olive trees where I live with my family.
It is those moments, the everyday ones, the small ones, the ones that nobody photographs, that remind me why wedding photography matters: time passes quickly, and images help us keep what is really valuable.
